This month our field teams completed water and sanitation upgrades at three primary schools around Kribi. Each school now has a connected tap stand, dedicated handwashing stations, and a hygiene curriculum delivered with the teachers.
Why schools come first
Children are powerful agents of change. When a pupil learns to wash their hands at the right moments, the habit travels home to younger siblings and parents. Clean water at school also means fewer sick days and better attendance — especially for girls.
What was installed
- Three connected tap stands with safe storage
- Twelve handwashing stations across the three sites
- Teacher-led hygiene sessions reaching 900+ pupils
Maintenance training for school staff and a parent committee ensures the stations stay clean and functional through the school year.
